For reasons wholly my own and otherwise unexplainable, I thought I’d start a little series which I’ve dubbed Writing Rightly. This series is intended to be a personal salute to a post from the previous week by a conservative author in the Montana Blogosphere. While doing this I don’t presume to be the final arbiter of excellence, everyone will have their own opinion on what is good writing. What I would like to do is offer a hat tip to authors whose posts left an impression on me. The only guideline is that there are no guidelines. I reserve the right to be arbitrary and capricious, in fact I can guarantee that I will be. One post may make my list because it is well researched, well presented, and efficacious. Another may do so because it is brief and caustic. Either way, the selection will come down to it being a post that I like. Finally, I may or may not be able to accomplish this every week, life will sometimes get in the way, but my goal is to have it up on Sundays, and the posts that I consider will be chosen from work from the previous Sunday to the Saturday before my selection. Anyway, thanks for playing along, and thanks for all the good work that is out there, it’s time that it gets recognized. The first of the series will be up later this evening.
